Our Mission
Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas
promotes
for the advancement of Hispanic women
in public, corporate, and civic life.
The axiom "great minds think alike" applies to the origins of HWNT. The Hispanic Women's Network of Texas
(HWNT) owes its existence to several great women who conceived the development of a statewide organization, which would fill the void of Hispanic women. Today, HWNT
lives up to its mission statement of promoting diverse women in public, corporate, and civic arenas.
The Hispanic Women's Network of Texas is a state-wide organization of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Our mission is to advance the educational, cultural, social, legal
and economic well being of all women through a broader awareness of our role in society, business and family. Members celebrate the positive image and values of the Hispanic culture.
HWNT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 1987 by inviting members of existing women's and Hispanic groups from around the state to create an organization that would address issues unique to
Latinas.
HWNT has grown to become the premier Hispanic women's organization in Texas with chapters located in Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth,
Houston (new chapter), Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
Our
Activities and Special Programs
Education Seminar Series, the flagship program of the Dallas Chapter, motivates Dallas Independent School District high school junior and senior students to continue their education and awards scholarships to senior students who complete our series of developmental seminars.

Every month, members gather at a special
Dallas location to network, share ideas and enjoy a great lunch.
Our Friday Connections is one of the members favorite events.
The hearts of our members is
always the Bataan Center Christmas Party. Every year, HWNT Dallas members adopt approximately 50 neighborhood girls
who attend the Bataan Recreation Center in West Dallas. These girls are treated to a fiesta with games, prizes, Christmas carols and refreshments.
