Responsible for the constant evaluation of the By-laws and the Standing Rules of the Network.

Education Seminar Series Committee

This Committee is responsible for the planning and implementation of the HWNT flagship program, the Education Seminar Series, which provides motivation, role modeling and education to DISD Latina high school students to complete high school and to enroll in higher education.  This program is also responsible for identifying scholarship recipients.  Sub committees include:  E-Registration; Recruiting; Event Programming; Transportation; and Food and Hospitality.

Finance, Development and Investment  Committee

This committee will conduct an annual internal audit of all fiscal transactions for reviewing and responding to the external audit. This committee will develop a plan of action annually to raise funds. This committee will recommend to the Board a plan for the investment of the Network’s funds.

Membership Committee

This committee is responsible for developing a strategic plan to increase membership (i.e., membership drives, Friday’s Connections, etc.); the processing of membership applications and maintenance of the membership roster and Membership Directory.

Membership Self Development and Education Committee

This committee is responsible for recommending and implementing a plan of action for membership development on an annual basis, proposing a plan for leadership development and education of the membership. Of priority to the Committee, are opportunities for leadership development skills, appointments to boards and commissions, and the implementation and monitoring of an achievement award program.  This Committee is responsible for Programs throughout the year.

Nominations Committee

This committee is responsible for recommending the slate of officers to be voted at the annual membership meeting and conducting the biennial election.

Public Relations & Communications Committee

This committee is responsible for promoting the Network to external audiences by means of appropriate and available medium. This committee is responsible for insuring a venue of communication thru publications and electronic medium to include cultural and policy affairs that impact the organization.
