About
The Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas (HWNT) is a non-profit state-wide organization established in 1987. HWNT and its ten chapters celebrate the values and contributions of our Hispanic heritage.
HWNT seeks to empower women across the great State of Texas. Our volunteer efforts promote the advancement of women in public, corporate, and civic life. HWNT activities and programs address education and economic needs, cultural efforts, and personal and professional development.
Since its inception, members continue to establish programs designed to cultivate the interests of Hispanic women. Through networking and professional development members help each other reach goals, promote businesses and contribute support and resources to elevate our community.
Statewide programs include our State Conference, board retreats, Platicas Poderosas, The Estrella Awards and Latinas in Progress© Education Program.
Chapter programs are unique to their region and include Cafe Con Leche meet-ups, Stand Up! and Be Inspired! Development programs, Día de los Muertos Gala, Salsa Cook-off competitions, Rebozo Bruch and our scholarship programs.
