Rosa Navejar and Dr. Jaime González are named Madrina and Padrino for the 35th Annual State HWNT Conference 


San Antonio,TX, July 6, 2022
- The Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas (HWNT), is a non-profit state-wide organization established in 1986.  HWNT’s purpose is to promote the advancement of women in public, corporate and civic life through education, personal and professional development. HWNT announced today that Rosa Navejar and Dr. Jaime Gonzales are selected as the Madrina and Padrino for the 35th Annual State Conference. 


Each year HWNT celebrates and recognizes long standing members dedicated to the mission of HWNT. The Madrina and Padrino Award was developed to recognize individuals who have given many years of their time, talent and support unselfishly to the mission of HWNT, serving as “godparents” to the organization. The 2022 recipients go above and beyond to exemplify these standards and we are proud to honor them.. 


Rosa Navejar is this year’s HWNT Madrina. She is a versatile and active member of the Fort Worth business community who has worked to support M/WBE programs and companies for over 25 years. Rosa has a deep personal knowledge  of the Fort Worth community, having lived there since birth and having served as President/CEO of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FWHCC). Rosa is currently President of The Rios Group, Inc., a firm that provides Subsurface Utility Engineering, and Utility Coordination services. Rosa has been a long standing member of HWNT and is known to give willingly to her community and has provided endless support to HWNT.

Dr. Jaime González is this year’s HWNT Padrino. He is the Chief Business Development Officer of the Health Plan Alliance and has more than 35-years of healthcare industry experience of which 24-years have been in the health insurance sector. In 2013, Dr. González and his wife, Lucy, established the Gloria J. González Memorial Scholarship Fund for the Advancement of Latinos in the Health Professions and collaborates with the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas/Ft. Worth Chapter and the Ft. Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to offer scholarships to Hispanic/Latino students pursuing careers in the health professions. 

HWNT is proud to honor and acknowledge these individuals for being pillars to HWNT’s success, helping the organization grow and supporting the mission of HWNT. Their support to the organization is immeasurable.

This year the ceremony will take place on September 30, 2022 in San Antonio, TX during the 35th HWNT State Annual Conference.
